Venue
We have two main venues that we are using for the conference. The keynote sessions will be held in Llewellyn Hall, and all other conference events will occur in the Manning Clarke Lecture Centre. The only exception is the Arduino miniconference, which will be in a smaller venue close to MCC.
There have been a lot of questions about walking between the venues and accommodation at the conference, so one of the team went out for a walk and captured GPS logs of each of the common routes. These are displayed on the map above, and can be viewed more closely on the interactive version of the map.
To summarize, here are some data points:
- MCC to LH took 6 minutes (kml).
- B&G to MCC took 8 minutes (kml).
- John XXIII to B&G took 3 minutes (kml).
- John XXIII to MCC took 8 minutes (kml).
- John XXIII to LH took 10 minutes (kml).
We feel all of these walks are reasonable. Remember for those who need assistance with mobility that we are offering a shuttle service as well.
