In 2011 the first MobileFOSS Miniconf was held at linux.conf.au in Brisbane.
In the two years since, the mobile landscape has changed so much. Nokia is no longer the king of the phone, Tablets of all flavours are making their way into our lives and linux has finally dominated a consumer market (turns out it wasn't desktops).
MobileFOSS 2013 will look at the new mobile world and the challenges and opportunities it offers the Free and Open Source Software community.

James is a developer, hacker, father, husband and media nerd. His need to play with shiny things has led him to explore many different areas, including mobile app development, media production, bio-fuels production (he has proudly made 1 whole litre of bio-diesel!)
